Today's Food Prices in Banten Region: Chicken Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (16/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, medium-grain rice, garlic bulbs, pure beef, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, shallots, farmer-level corn, premium rice, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of broiler chicken experienced the highest increase of Rp1,550 (4.2%) to Rp38,460 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn saw the lowest decrease of Rp300 (4.75%) to Rp6,020 per kg.
