Today's Food Price List in West Sumatra: Chili, Rice, and Oil Prices Down (Monday, January 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday, January 1, 2024, at 08:42 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, milkfish, mackerel, iodized fine salt, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium-grain rice, curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp27,540 (59.95%) to Rp73,480 per kg. Shallots saw the lowest price decrease of Rp6,660 (19.89%) to Rp26,830 per kg.
